We have very few foreclosures here in Reno Sparks. Most of Nevada’s foreclosure activity seems to happen down in Las Vegas. In November 2005, our state recorded 395 notices of trustee sales, but only 43 of these were in Washoe County. In December 2005, the total went way up… to 681, but only 52 were here. The rest? I’m guessing down south. That’s where all the drama is.

That’s really interesting. Reno had almost as much appreciation and extremes as LV. That’s a drastic difference in the foreclosure rate.
