I may take this 135# beast to the Montage open house tomorrow. They may have to redo their structural calcs! I was so Jones’n on loft 318, until they changed the layout 2 or 3 times. SW corner of Sierra and Commercial, overlooking the proposed trench cover (and King’s Inn). Now no windows or overlooks to the north. Sad, they almost had me roped in!

I stopped by the Montage’s soiree last night. I counted three large dogs, including a 130lb timber wolf. There will most certainly be more dogs today and tomorrow. You and GBJ have a good time.
When you mentioned “Goober Eyes”, I presume you were referring to the photo in your “Christmas Comes Early” post?

The photo to which you are referring was taken last weekend and is of me about half-way up Mt. Whitney in a failed attempt to summit. A freak snow storm dumped about a foot of snow at elevation the day before we were to climb. We set off anyway and got to ~12,000′ before turning around. No one in our group was outfitted (i.e. crampons) for snow.

Have times changed? Oh I don’t know. Right now it takes just $500.00 down to own a house, according to a flier left on my door this week by a local Coldwell Banker agent.
Interesting and clever marketing,I’d say. Heck, dogs need a place to sleep, eat and then, well, you know. It’s nice to know they can do it in their owner’s home in the Montage. And how the heck are you all?
Interesting way to market to the dog lovers in the group – I can’t throw any fault – since I’ve been known to do the same.
