“We have also seen relative stable prices for the past seven months. ”

    Translation:
RE SPEAK to English: “We have seen a consistent decrease in pricing for the past seven months but nothing compared to the large drop in prices that we won’t speak about or even give you the usually measured year over year number, because that may be true but won’t sound good. There is just no way to shine a good light on those numbers.”

“These are positive indicators for the residential housing market.”
RE SPEAK to English: positive indicators are something that you look for in a real pool of data, pull them out….. discard the rest…..hold them in the light…. and call them the gospel of the future.”

“These are positive indicators for the residential housing market”. This is boilerplate, right?
Presidents come and presidents go but the boilerplate never changes.

“These are positive indicators for the residential housing market”, said ______________ (fill in the blank), President of the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors and a REALTOR with ___________(fill in the name of the realty office).

The residential housing market will NOT get better until the job market gets better.

One of the reliable resources predicted that the average home value will drop another 8% between now and next 18 months. Do you really think Reno can do better?

As sure as the coyotes howl in the cold Nevada night, the president of RSAR will proclaim “there are positive indicators for the residential housing market.”
It’s all they (both the coyotes and the president) know how to do.

Who cares what they say about the market. Just look at the numbers yourself and make your own conclusions and stop wining. It seems like there are a lot of fools that lost there cabooses here and just bitch and moan.

    Landman,
Amen. Bunch of whiners that never get tired hearing themselves moan.

“oh, everyone’s gonna lose money forever.”
    “Oh, we’re all collectively screwed”
“oh, glad I’ve been renting that place with the broken windows on 2nd street instead of owning my own place.”

Love my nice place on one acre, purchased way below replacement cost. Might by a few rentals for positive cash flow next year.

    Happy Christmas El Negativos!
    …and a prosperous new year……
