Washoe County creates wood stove rebate program

Washoe County has partnered with UNR to create a rebate program that allows homeowners to exchange older wood stoves for cleaner, more efficient wood burning devices.

Residents of Washoe County located within specified areas can earn rebate amounts as follows:

$600 for a new wood burning stove
$800 for a new pellet stove
$1000 for a new natural gas stove
