Northeast of Sparks you’ll find a whole lot of housing. Spanish Springs is the new boomtown, with numerous new housing developments and a very large shopping center now under construction.

Wingfield Springs, a beautiful master-planned golf course community with parks, paths, ponds and open space, is quite lovely and relatively affordable. Home of the Red Hawk Resort and Golf Course, visitors are welcome, so check it out if you’re a golfer.

This entire area is growing at a tremendous rate, and the retail is finally starting to follow. The schools are good,
and their facilities new. Lots of families move to the area because here you can get more for your dollar. A wonderful place to call home, Spanish Springs is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Reno, but many feel it’s worth it.
