As explained in the comments concerning last month’s (October’s) huge spike in NODs, this jump was an anomaly due to one development having a number of NOD’s filed on a number of lots at the same time. As can be seen in the NOD chart below, the number of NODs for November came back down to an expected level.
Regarding the sales chart, everything (resales, refis, and new home sales) fell for November compared to October – with Refis taking the biggest hit – a 26% decline from October. Total recordings (all types) dropped 22% from October’s activity. We are now officially in the “slow” season.
