Although June’s unemployment rate for the state remained flat at 11.6 percent, the unemployment rate for the Reno-Sparks area rose from 11.5 percent to 11.7 in June.
June’s unemployment rate in other metros across the state:
- Las Vegas 12.1%
- Carson City 11.8%
- Reno-Sparks 11.7%
Compare that to June’s national jobless rate of 8.2 percent.
