U-Haul has just released its Migration Trend Report for 2012. Among other things the report lists the top “Growth Cities” in the U.S.
What’s a growth city? Compiled from more than 1.6 million U-Haul one-way truck transactions occurring during 2012, growth cities are determined by calculating the percentage of inbound moves vs. outbound moves for each city where a minimum of 5,000 moves occurred during the year.
Here are U-Haul’s Top-5 Growth Cities in the U.S., and the % growth seen be each city…
- Pittsburgh, Penn. – 9.04%
- Henderson, Nev. – 7.54%
- Austin, Texas – 7.30%
- Reno, Nev. – 7.15%
- San Francisco, Calif. – 6.82%
