Diane and I have returned from the Inman News RE Connect conference. We had a great time and learned quite a few things as well. A recurring theme at this year’s RE Connect was the value of blogging as a means to promote one’s practice in the community. Diane and I were very happy to have been able to contribute to the many conversations taking place regarding the subject of blogging. We also enjoyed meeting face-to-face many of the other RE professionals whose blogs we have been following throughout the year. [To the other bloggers I met, it was great talking with you and I will be visiting your blogs soon (if I haven’t already).]
Diane and I also had an opportunity to promote this blog at the conference to many of the 1,700 attendees. I was expecting to see a jump in our page stats due to our marketing efforts. When I returned home last night I checked our stats and saw that we had double our usual number of unique readers for the day. In fact, we haven’t seen this much traffic since Miss Trudi’s Nikki Beach post.
To the first-time visitors: Welcome to the Reno Realty Blog and thank you for visiting. To our regular readers: Thank you for your patience while we attended RE Connect. And thank you for your comments that kept the blog alive. I will get my act together and resume regular posts shortly. In the meantime I would like to share a letter I received yesterday from one of my friends in mortgage business (see subsequent post). With all that has happened this past week in the mortgage industry, I thought you might find Lisa’s perspective interesting. Besides, her post is already prepared, and I’m still playing catch-up.

Rudy and I enjoyed spending quality time with you both during the Connects (and before that in Reno). We hope to see you again at the NYC Connect in January, where we promise more good times. Keep up the good work.

It was a pleasure meeting the both of you! You two are truly fun, outgoing and wacky Real Estate Professionals. I find that very important though, what’s life without some fun right? 🙂 I am glad you guys had a great time and I hope to meet up with you again soon, possibly at NAR or Inman NYC.
