Resales and new homes sales remained relatively unchanged for March compared to February, but check out the spike in re-finances. On the foreclosure side, notices of default (NODs) increased in March; notices of sale NOSs fell; and trustees deeds climbed. Check out all of March’s numbers below.

Quick question why are the reo listing less than half of what the trustee deeds are, where are the rest of these houses going??? The courthouse steps have been slow lots of inventory somewhere???

Ray, only the trustee’s sales that go back to the banks show up as REO on the MLS. Investor trustee’s deed show as standard sales, usually prefaced by “Not a Short Sale” in the remarks.
