Yee Haw! RRB has just been (pretty much) successfully transfered to a new account by the Guyster. You night notice some minor glitches as the system gets back to normal and upgrades are made, so bear with us. Let Guy or me know if you see any serious gaffs we need to deal with. All in all, great job on a complicated transition, Guy!
One unexpected perk is that I am now allowed to approve comments that were in "moderation" on my posts, so you will notice 4 very out of sequence comments showing up on the 10 Most Recent Comments. Posts with 3 or move links automatically go into moderation, for future reference. Some go there for no apparent reason, so if your comment doesn’t post just let us know.
Wait until you see the end of month NOD/NOS/TD numbers!
Blake Smith (Mr. Somersett) evidently mentioned that the Town Center had been lost to foreclose in his speech to the HOA this week. Nothing has shown up on the Recorder’s site yet. News at 11.
I’m touring a property tomorrow and expect to make an offer on it, barring toxic mold or evidence of a recent murder in the home. Go figure. Mr. Negativity is on the prowl

Congrats Mike. If your offer is accepted, I’m going to have to start referring to you as “MikesVanishingEquity” [assuming you have any to start with]!

Yes, the blog has been transferred successfully. In doing so, we upgraded from (a very outdated version of) WordPress 2.3.2 to the current WP version of 3.0.1.
smarten, you will notice that this new version has spell check functionality.

“I’m touring a property tomorrow and expect to make an offer on it, barring toxic mold or evidence of a recent murder in the home. Go figure. Mr. Negativity is on the prowl.”
“Mr. Negativity?” Given that you haven’t yet learned your lesson, and those dreamy prices on your raw land, I’m thinking “Mr. Kool-Aid” is more fitting.

Broken images. The path must have changed or not brought over to your new hosting

The images are indeed missing, but it’s funny that the ones on the right side of the web are ok. It could also be a result of the update. I’m just guessing though, my knowledge of wordpress is limited.

Just for giggles I did a search [using the search function at the top of the page] for posts by a typical blogger. Although I received a number of blogs in which this blogger had posted [each of which I had to scroll through to find his/her posts], the number of blogs returned was no where as large nor as comprehensive as I would have expected it to be.
I would like to see a return by individual blogger’s posts rather than comprehensive blogs in which this blogger had posted. And I would like the return to be more comprehensive returning posts going back to the blog’s birth.
Am I being too demanding?

How about a taste … ?

TDs are holding steady. NOSs are already over August numbers and will end up +/- 40% higher. NODs look to be up 10% or so.
No news about Somersett Country Club officially, but there was a nasty comment posted at http://www.rereno.com from someone associated with the project. Town Center TD still hasn’t recorded.
“mikesvanishingequity” will be an interesting story no matter how it turns out. My agent has assured me that it is the lowest offer their brokerage has ever written up. Poor Coldwell Banker who had to write up my $3000 original offer on a piece of land that later became part of http://www.mayberrycanyon.com!
And, hey, I appreciate your comments on mayberrycanyon, both positive and negative. Just having the site allows me to tune my marketing to what people are interested in and clicking on, and to adjust pricing and incentives accordingly – WordPress is pretty cool that way. So if “smartensvanishingequity” would like to venture what the lots are worth and/or will sell for, I’m all ears.

The lowest offer the brokerage has ever written up? What? You going to offer $1000 on one of those GSR hotel rooms?

Up … FORTY percent? Oh-oh.
