An article in this morning’s RGJ profiled a web site that allows FSBO (for-sale-by-owner) sellers to list and market their properties. Curious, I checked out the site, SearchHomesOnTV.
On SearchHomesOnTV.com sellers can list their homes for free. Additional marketing packages exist ranging from $199 to $795. Bundled services can include:

Prospective buyers can search for FSBOs by a variety of criteria. I decided to see what Reno had to offer. Unfortunately, as of this writing, I could find no homes listed in Reno. So, I expanded my search to include the entire state of Nevada. I found only ten homes listed; half of those were in Las Vegas. Perhaps the site is too new to have very many entries yet [note: the site states “beta” on the home page].
One aspect of the site that differentiates it from other listing sites is its “Hire A Pro!” offering. The “Hire A Pro!” feature is targeted to those FSBO sellers who are willing to hire a real estate professional to manage or assist in certain aspects of the transaction or sale of their property. For example, handling the paperwork (contract, disclosures, addendums, etc.) involved. With this service the site claims to have “bridged the gab [sic] between the FSBO and real estate professionals.”
